Pinteresters Annonymous

If you have spoken to me for longer that 2 minutes, chances are, I have mentioned and somewhat heavily suggested joining a website that will not only bring joy to your life, but will evoke feelings of triumph and optimism when you see a glue gun or empty coke bottle. What is this lifechanging website? http://www.pinterest.com/ and prepare to see a host of angels when you view it for the first time.

Without fail, you will either say to yourself, upon viewing the pages upon pages of glorious posts, "duh, why didn't I think of that," "OMG, where can I get that?," "I've GOTTA try this," "That's friggin hilarious," or "One day *with a wishful sigh*." And like magic, 3 hours will fly by, you'll see dozens of "repins" that you've carefully selected and organized in the appropriate "board," and you'll think to yourself, "Dang, well now I don't have time to do any of these things!" This pattern will inevitably repeat itself for weeks. Until you are either unable to access a computer or you become distracted with actual life and don't find time for it. But oh. When you reunite, the hours multiply for the time you have to make up for.

In some beautiful instances your determination and anxiousness will actually lead you to undertake a wonderful "pin" - and you'll make time to do something you wanted to try! This ladies and... ladies, is what I would like to feature on my blog. I'm going to start a galllery of my Pinterest-Made-Reality Projects. With links to how you can do it too!  Please, hold your applause :) I tend to use the things I see as inspiration for my own twists, so no judegement if it's not exactly like the original pin. I'm no follower... ba ha. So join me! Let's embrace this girly-Facebook fad and conquer the world with our glue guns and sewing machines. Let's make Martha Stewart jealous of our newfound technology-based version of her. Let's *insert dramatic announcer voice* PINTEREST.

*Note, during this blog writing, I peeked out the window that Pinterest was on 9 times... Pathetically awesome. Right? Prepare to join the addiction :)

*Another note - I'd like to make a shout out to my dear sister-in-law who spread this addiction to me. Without you, this blog and new obsession would not be possible. And my husband couldn't use the laptop to babysit me while he watches hours UFC and Pawn Shop/Gold Rushing shows. Thank you. ;) Love you D! And you need to get back on... Pinterest misses you.
